Colostrum, the first milk secretion, has the primary role to protect the new born infant from intestinal colonisation of harmful microorganisms and to promote the healthy growth of tissues and immune factors in the intestine.

Colostrum’s effectiveness comes from the natural combination of immune factors including immunoglobulins, lactoferrin, cytokines, transferrin, lactoperoxidase, lyzozyme and many more, as well as growth factors including IGF-1 & 2, EGF, and TGF-1 & 2.
The immune factors work to restore balance in the intestinal flora and enhance immune function in the intestine. The growth factors also aid in tissue repair.

The colostrum in Radiance Kids Colostrum is spray dried (without heat) in a government-inspected processing plant where it is skimmed of unwanted fat. The colostrum is then agglomerated – a process that improves the digestibility of the colostrum by simply increasing the length of the drying process. The colostrum is then laboratory-tested to ensure its biological content and purity.
