Syntol contains a combination of probiotics and prebiotics designed to assist with yeasts. Prebiotics are non-digestible food ingredients that act to stimulate the growth and activity of the probiotics. Syntol also contains a blend of enzymes, including serrapeptase, to assist in the breakdown of toxins and cellular debris produced by the yeast cells as they die, otherwise known as “die-off”. Syntol comes in a capsule and must be taken on an empty stomach to allow absorption of the enzymes into the blood stream. Syntol is suitable for the very sensitive and allergy prone individual. Syntol contains no gluten, soy, dairy, wheat, tree nuts, or shelfish, and is suitable for vegans.
Threelac contains three selected strains of friendly bacteria that are specifically aggressive at competing for space with the yeast and crowding it out. Threelac also contains a number of dietary fibres to feed the good bacteria and help keep them active. A small amount of yeast from a brewer’s yeast source is added to provide important B vitamins and feed the good bacteria in Threelac to maintain their activity prior to consumption. Threelac comes in powder form in individual sachets and is flavoured with lemon juice for a pleasant taste. Erythritol, a natural plant derived sweetener that does not feed yeast is also added for palatibility.
The nutritional yeast added to Threelac is only a problem for people with an actual yeast allergy. The reason yeast is avoided with anti-candida diets is because of the sugar and carbohydrates which come with the yeast e.g. the carbohydrate in bread, the sugar in beer.
Fivelac contains the same ingredients as Threelac but with the addition of 2 extra strains of friendly bacteria, Bifidobacterium longum and Lactobacillus acidophilus. Fivelac also contains a small amount of lactose which is included as a food for the L. acidophilus to ensure the it maintains it’s activity throughout the life of the product.
Note: Threelac, Fivelac can be taken at any time of the day with, or without, food.
